Submmited by Avril Meehan on Monday, 18 November 2013

Citizens of Europe e.V. warmly invite those with a residence in the Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, Poland, Italy, Portugal, Romania, the United Kingdom and Spain to apply for the training course “Discover your potential!: a training course on creativity and youth work”. This 7 day training course will take place in Berlin from 16th to 24th February 2014. It is a follow-up of previous years' projects on creativity and aims at strengthening the competencies of creative thinking, creative problem solving, dealing with barriers in creativity and managing of innovation in youth organisations.

With over 20 percent of young Europeans without work and very unclear perspectives, what role can creativity play in tackling the current crisis of youth unemployment? We believe that civil society plays a large role in social development and change. Youth organisations, initiatives and informal groups have a big impact on the way people think. We also believe that innovative thinking, creative solutions, flexibility in thinking, breaking patterns and also the determination to realize ones passions is a good and efficient way to help young people function in the variety of fields like job market, education and life in general.
