LearnAct-- 1st Meeting in Berlin

Berlin : 11/10/2013 to 13/10/2013

From 11th to 13th October 2013 participants from Switzerland, Sweden and Germany met for the 1st 'LEARNACT' working meeting in Berlin.

During this launch meeting the group, comprised of actors engaged in adult learning about sustainable development within community gardens, updated and developed this process-oriented work and learn project.

The Berlin group presented to the international contingent two local community gardens:'G13' and 'SpreeAcker'. The 'Open Space' technique was also introduced as a tool to involve citizens with different social, economic and cultural backgrounds in the creation process of a community garden as a low-threshold social integration activity.

Following the meeting, a public event with intercultural live music was held. Here, participants had the possibility to get to know other local initiatives related to the topic.
