The year 2005 has proven, how important civic action is for the future of Europe. The success of European integration cannot be assured by diplomacy, it needs public debate and broad support in order to succeed. PR campaigs and promotion will not lead to this, Europe today is dependend on a joint effort of Citizens' and organisations interested. Our network Citizens of Europe wants to contribute to such action.

The Prague meeting strengthened the network by bringing together people who are already active and others who want to join. It was an opportunity for developping new concrete aims and ideas, for setting new targets and for working on concrete projects.

The meeting started on Friday, Nov. 25 in the afternoon and finished on Sunday, Nov. 27.
